    swapping out the 401

yet another engine swap question. More than likely the same answer, "why"? Any who, I've recently found this neat old 63 lesabre wagon that has a blown up 401. I've got in the garage a nice 455. Can it be done with available parts swapping or is it a trial and error installation? If i install this fat block I'll need to slow down; any advice on disc brake swap?

I'm sure it can be done but I don't think it will be as easy as you think. The 455 is a whole different animal. Some fabrication and modification would more than likely be neccessary.
For starters, the bellhousing bolt patterns are different so you'll need a replacement trans too.
I would consider rebuilding the 401 or replacing it with another nailhead.
They came in a 425 inch size too.
