Never heard back from the guy about the torsion bar!!!
End of the week with FEDEX? Maybe the end of the year!!
Preparation is half the battle when it comes to rusty bolts!!

Hey Bob
Progress is being made.
You will probably get them at the end of the week.
Spray some PB Blaster on those nuts and bolts in the meantime and let the stuff do it's work and loosen-up decades of rust.
How did You make out with the Heavy Duty Torsion Bar?
Lucky for You that the Island of Nantucket doesn't have a Train.
One less thing to worry about

Hey Bob,
Right off the bat. Kanter sells a complete front end overhaul kit that is pretty
good. www.kanter.com
I have heard good things about their kits and they are pretty comprehensive.
You can get Springs from www.eatonsprings.com

Hey Iddie,
I see where you pulled your motor again.
Have you found out what the problem is and where the leak is coming from?

Hey Tom ,
I've got the engine on blocks, waiting for a neighbor to fabricate an engine stand whereby we can run the engine out of the Buick and look for leaks.I have changed rear main seals so many times that it has become pointless to continue.I've put in graphtite seals, rope seals, and neoprene seals to no avail. From under the car the drip still appears to come from above the crankshaft flange. The last time I pulled it and removed the flywheel I saw no leaks from the plugs or obvious cracks.I'm wondering if I have a cracked block that leaks when it warms up.The engine runs great, starts almost everytime with the first turn of the key,and sounds great. If I had an automatic I'd let it leak .I'll keep you posted.
How's your '56 coming along?
iddie
Last year I bought and installed one of Steve Dole's 1-1/8" sway bars on my 1955 Special and it works great. I'm going to order one for my 1954.
Does anyone know of rear sway bars for these cars?

Do you have a contact for those sway bars? I have not been able to contact or locate that gentleman
