You will probably find a phillips screw at the top and bottom of the vent
you CAN buy a coil with an enternal resistor
might not be a perfect fit; I had to mill a 5/16ths bearing retainer for the inner bearing on my Wildcat (64) so the rotor/bearings from the Rivvy would fit without ANY slop. so you might end up...
Nice looking block and firewall.
I don't know too much about V6s, but to be safe,
I'd loop the heater hose back to the block.
You could swap the temperature sending unit to
the top fitting to...
Well, you didn't say "65 what" if you have a Rivvy, it will be much simplier that
the swap I did on the Wildcat, etc etc. I used Rivvy rotors and calipers on the wildcat spindles, making a...
Deke,
If the switch I have is what you're looking for, email me your address and I will send it to you
I've experienced the kindness of other Buick fans from Buick Team, I will just pay it
forward...
sounds like your missing a nylonn bushing for the acclerator linkage
remove the arm rest (two hugh body phillips screws, remove the door/window handles -
unless lectric , there might be a small phillips screw on the bottom corners; remove them.
go around the door...
have you replaced the belt? do you specs have the tension in lbs?
do you have the hose recommended by the manual?
I would also check the hoses.
pull the plugs and take the radiator cap off....
Boy, it's a good thing you can weld:bana: your welds look good.
too bad you didn't make a mock up V6 outta styrofoam way back when, you could have gotten all the "fittin" done before you got the...
clean the terminals on the battery and the inside of the battery lugs (nice and shiney)
It shoould fire right up:thumbsup:
pretty sure I found it - looks like it has a thermal nipple on it... eh?
Deke
are all three of those on the diagram?
I'll go through my "stuff" and look for vacuum hoses sticking out ;)
Ill get back to you
Butch:shield:
my sidewalk to the garage is a little slick - we got 6 inches of snow and then it froze - soon as it melts, I'll go out and check the garage. I'm going all electric for the windows, a/c & heater on...
is the switch you're talking about the top of the page #2 that Bob sent you?
I think I have that somewhere
There's also Wheatbelt Buicks in Oklahoma - 11 acres of buicks
That was going to be my next suggestion too Bob.
I had a similiar problem, caused by the horseshoe connector
on the ground wire in the dist straddling the lug on the points.
blamed it on my...
did you check the ignition switch?
Vintage muscle car manuals can be had on CD from "Detroit Iron".
I have the newest one for the 64 Buicks (for my Wildcat and LeSabre)
and the one for 67 Chevys (for my 67 Impala).
they are...
THAT'S the results we like to hear...
Welcome to the world of BUICKS!!!

Ginuwine
let's back up a bit; first, take off that shroud you built - you are only cooling that circle (14" or so) of the radiator core. the hot water on both sides of the fan is continuing...
I've run my 300 (64 LeSabre) on the bench, w/tranny attached, and I use a vacuum guage to determine the "sweet spot" for the tach. However, once you drop it into the 4,000lb car, you only have a...
have you checked your wwiring all the way down to the starter - look for frayed
or corroded connectors - hope it's just the battery, this kind of stuff can drive you nuts:clonk:
