'65 Wildcat driver in need of a functioning speedo cable, with the "plastic" spring loaded end that connects to the speedometer, and the normal metal screw-on end to the transmission.

Can't seem...

Wound up taking a 5 lb hammer, knocking ea one with 2-3 hits... they came right out. Took each new wheel stud, applied a small amount of anti-seize just under the flared end, and with a breaker bar,...

Any suggestions, tips, lessons learned or helpful hints on replacing wheel lugs/studs..?

Got a '65 Cat, finally got the rear drum off after some MAJOR effort with a pry bar to do some needed brake...

Wellllllll... Pic # 13 wasn't really "immediately" after the removal of the drum... This one is. And you can see the "red" spring was there.

Guess I took it off and THEN thought to snap a pic of...

I did a side by side of my pic against the one on the right you have here, and I count 8 springs in my and your pic (minus the parking/emery brake spring). I don't see which one I'm missing.

Here's a pic of the brake set-up right after I pryed the drum off prior to changing the pads, springs, and wheel cylinder.

From what I can tell, the wheel cylinder pins are angled upward slightly...

I didn't bother changing wheel cylinder links. I just applied some brake cleaner, sanded off the rust and residue, and after inspecting them, put the same links back in.

I used a pry bar while rotating the wheel. It took a min, but I got the drum off.

Not sure what the hang up was, as I don't see anything that was...
