    Just returned from Bonneville Land Speed World Finals

    Broke the XO/GCC class record by 4mph .
    Top speed 136 plus .
    Not bad for a gas carb 320 in a 1952 Super

    Did you have the starter rebuilt ?

    Worn or improperly installed bushings can let a starter armature drag in the stator , under load .
    It may seem fine on a test stand , but have no "oomf"...
