I know that this has been on here before, but it's a good reference chart. http://www.dormanproducts.com/catalog/hardware2006/127-130_sec8_part1.pdf
We have had good luck with Elgin Cams. Demi has been doing it for a long time.
We start with Chevy blockhugger headers also.
I could probably bring a "wounded" head to World of Speed next month if that would help. Maybe there is somebody there that could get it to you.

Actually just returned from the abbreviated Speed Week at Bonneville Salt Flats. [Rained out. Three events in a row]. The Henry Head lll is still in the works, but not on Frank's [Henry] highest...
It is definitely the larger 320 cu. in. engine. [The ID pad is on the flywheel side of the distributor]. Don't know anything else about whether it sold or not. Owner hasn't followed up since the...
Well, It's nearly time for Speed Week 2014. The Salt Cat Team is getting ready for the event and putting a new driver in the seat in hopes of getting a coveted "Red Hat". Gail Tesinsky is going to...
DON'T EVEN CONSIDER IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off, the shaft is hardened and if it doesn't bend, it will snap in half. The entire assy. weighs well over 1000 pounds. Removing the shaft...
We see that a lot when taking core engines apart for the parts we need for the race car. It's usually from rust or dry valve stems from the engines sitting a long time. Best to try to free them up...
As for using existing heads, you could possibly "massage" some aluminum v-6 heads, but it would take three heads. Cylinder spacing is the issue. A head from scratch would be the answer.

Go to Facebook and Youtube and check out Salt Cat Racing. We hiked up a very steep and expensive learning curve and did exactly what you are talking about. We melted a lot of pistons getting there....
Make sure that your manifold is flat first. A lot of warpage can happen in 60 years.

Have you looked at the Buick manual? They had great success with a paste made of 30W oil and powdered graphite. Also, follow their torque specs. THe manifold has to be able to float.

Those are really nice. It's hard to find anybody who will even attempt to make custom Buick stuff. We had to sort of redesign our engine stuff around the common Chevy stuff. Had to cut the journals...
Now you've seen one that is worse. The oil came out like Jello.

Check with Demi Elgin, Elgin Cams. [He's old like me] He understands these old engines.
Doug
Jyrki,
Here are the pistons that we ended up using. [Carillo]

Scott, It will go out tomorrow. Doug
CNC Dude, If you still need a timing cover for a 320, I dug one out today and I can send it. PM me an address for shipping and I'll get it to you. You should be able to check with Egge's or...
It appears that he is overwhelmed with people contacting him trying to save what can be saved. My apologies. I think it t out of hand. I was going to go back tomorrow but I will wait until things...
My apologies, the Facebook link should be Montana Dodge Boys Fast Four Special. Tons of pictures of the yard that is crushing the cars.
I did see two 64-5 Skylarks there, one two door and one wagon . Didn't look at the engine pile. If you do Facebook look at Montana Mopars he has tons of pictures there.
Yesterday I went to a salvage yard in Whitehall, Mt. and watched the start of an operation that is crushing over a thousand cars from the 30's to the 70's. Over two dozen old Buicks. Sadly I cannot...
Sounds good. Let me know when you get somebody to make your billet cam.
