I suppose if I cut out the whole trunk pan mounted the spare vertically on one...

Maybe a deuce and a quarter, but Rivi's were unique. A-body Buicks are more or less Chevelles with some drive train changes and there are custom tanks with all the stuff built in available for them....
Please see my response to fistofeight
External pump can have heat and noise issues. That's why the factory generally uses in tank units. The Rivi was supposed to be grand touring car and I drive primarily in the So West. AZ in cabin...
No after market tanks available. 69's had in tank pump for carb but provided no baffling or reservoir.
Any info, experiences, solutions welcome.:clonk:
I can see you will need a sheet metal part I found online. The panel at the top of the trunk lid and bottom of rear window is available as an Impala part (1965 Sport coupe) see either Impala Bob or...
Make me an offer I can't refuse.
I have a 1964 Aluminum head engine with Buick 4 barrel manifold.
Need enough to motivate me to take it apart.
My control panel got balky, then quit.
The buttons are supposed to push on and stay locked in until you push again and that turns it off.
You can hold mine in and generally get it to work but it...
I have a Le Sabre 2dr hardtop I'm poking at.
Trying to make a "wildcat tribute". A 9in dif is being made because we couldn't find any suitable posi unit that could be cheaply stuffed in. There was...
My understanding was these dif's were in 67-69 Riv's with 430 eng, 225 Electras and Wildcats 68-69 and Estate Wagons 68-69.
Not many posi units, however I found one with 3:08 gears in a 68 Riv, so...
Ray, You mention LeSabre and Wildcat like they would be interchangeable? My understanding is that when they did the Wildcat they used the Electra Chassis to fit the big blocks, (hence the longer...
I'm installing warmed over 430 eng and feel I need stronger rear end. Ford 9 costs $1500. or so, beef up of 8.25 costs $1300 or so, I have 3 of the Riviera rear ends laying in the yard. Think 30...
Anyone ever put a 9 3/8 Riviera-Electra differential into a perimeter frame Le Sabre?
Track seems to be the same. Would need to install track bar and single upper link I see, but any tricks or...
I had a CV in which the ball froze and snapped off. That results in horrible noise and major vibration. Because the 2 piece rear shaft vulcanizing had broken loose as well (68 Riviera) the CV joints...
Just a shot in the dark. Any chance the distributer shaft isn't driving the Pump?
I measured the fan clutch to block face on my 68 Rivi and came up with 9 inches. That puts it in the radiator on the LeSabre. And that's with oly about 4-5 inches at the firewall to rear of block....
I put an 800 cfm elec choke Edlebrock performer on my mildly moded 430 Riv and love it. Worked good out of the box, better after needle meter change and quicker pop springs, then I screwed it up a...
Thanks for carb feed back. Wished I lived next door I'd send you one for work up.
I'll look around when I get back to storage, couple months. Most of what I've got probably Chevy stuff.
Most...
Where are the important numbers to identify a "Buick Quad" and what should I look for, (item you might want)?. Whats best way to maintain contact if I find something that might interest you.?
...
Hey Texman, You can list me in the Quadraflood hater column, but I have an open mind. I've owned dozens of them on Chevy's and Rivi's and I've only had one that ran realy nice (better than from...
Fire me an e-mail rivirichnjackie2:thumbsup:gmail.com and I'll send photos as I go. I'm not proficient at posting pics on this site. took months to get my two cars into my profile.
Oil pan is here...
It just seems like we're trying to push a lot of Iron down the road.
I also happen to have 2 430s, one well built, and all the parts that could be a running 455, if you do the "High School rebuild."...
Thanks Ray, but you're so practical.
Takes all the drama and excitement out.
Appreciate the thoughts on mounts as mounts for big blocks are sketchy these days and I think the block bolt holes may...
