If you hear a clunk it will most probably not be the switch in the carburettor but your starter moter. I wouldn't have a clou where you can go in Scotland for a revision but if you can't find anyone...
That became my decision too, indeed works great!
Thanks Tom, but sending my distributor up & down to the US will cost me more than a complete unit as I live in Belgium.
Does anyone have experience with a complete MSD distributor in a ('56 or other) 322ci nailhead engine? I'm planning to replace the complete stock ignition with the MSD unit. Experiences with other...
Here is a topic on the Dutch Buick forum which might be interesting http://dutchbuickclub.nl/NL/index.htm
There seems to be someone in (Dutch) Limburg whoīs good with Dynaflows, just donīt recall...
I had the same on my 322 nailhead, my engine had been in storage for many years and one of the oil passages was almost completely shut with sludge/dirt...
I used steele rubber and no issues. I think Bobīs also uses their products....
Would anyone know the bore size and tolerance for the rods big end? Mine are oval.
Thanks,
Cees
Thanks for your answers, Iīll rebuild it with 56 parts.
A bit late, but on my 55 it is mouted with one of the mounting screws for the heaterradiator cover in the interior on the passenger side, email me if you want a picture.
Iīm rebuilding the engine which is in my 55 Century, but someone has seriously screwed it up with a previous rebuild. There are different pistons in it, the left and right headgaskets were different...
Evans has coolant which contains no water, you should flush your sytem first. The coolant is good for life and the inside of your engine should never rust again. Iīve just ordered it.

Iīm using dot5.1 fluid as well without any problems, but I did the master cylinder with waterproof1000 sandpaper. Just make sure not to make grooves in the length direction.
If the car hasnīt been running for a while that is very well possible, p.e. the crossover and thermostat cover are cast iron.... I would flush the complete system, not just the radiator.
Greetz from...
If I compare your picture with my control arms the welding on yours does't seem factory.
Hi Philippe,
I use Millers oil for all my classic cars www.millersoils.nl , they are specialised in classics! If you send them an email they'll advise you what to use for all different purposes....
Hi Jim,
Would it be possible to email me your diagram in a readable resolution, can't get my washer working as it should be and can't read your diagram.
My mailadress is...
I doubt if your transmission is the problem, I would say this comes from the rear differential....
Good luck,
Cees
Cars has a kit to rebuild the powerbrakes, if you have a vacuum leak you better order the leather seal as well because it's not in the kit. If you want I can send you some pictures when it's...
You might try at Transmatic, they were a great help for me looking for a dynaflow filter: partsinfo@transmaticparts.com
Between the valve and radiator is the defroster ( small heater on passenger side).
For my oilcooler issue I've bought a new '56 waterpump with a third connection on it (probably for an a/c) and...
Bob's automobilia has them as well, that's where I got mine from (you'll normally have to send in your cores).
At the end of your engine id there should be a number 6 for a Century, so if your number is V972962-6 it's an original engine.
I have the same problem with a 56 engine in a 55 Century. I think I'll make a paralel system for the Dynaflow oil cooler using 2 T-connections, 1 T just after the waterpump to the Dynaflow, then from...
