Find a set of 70 heads if you want to make power, those 75 heads will not make much power. Have the machine shop zero deck the block as well.
I looked it up and found this is the model number 2975 as seen in this link:

Hey there, good luck with your 215 build and keep us posted!
Did you re-torque the heads after a heat cycle? if not re-torque them, do an oil change and run the engine with the valve covers off... This way you can see where your noise is coming from before you...
I would go over to V8 Buick and post an add int he "parts wanted section", there is a LOT of traffic there... Many people there have lots of parts to sell for fair prices. V8 Buick is down for...
Hey there... You might want to post an add in the "Parts wanted section" on V8 Buick, there is a lot of traffic there...
Welcome!!!
As you know you are limited by the bellhousing pattern of the 215 or 198 engine. As far as I know there are no adapters to make your trans work with a 225, 231, or Buick 350 engine.

Why not go with a 3.8L supercharged EFI engine? i would run it off a megasquirt computer to get full control... Way less messing around and you can find the 3.8L supercharged engines everywhere....

All it would take is an idle a bit too low, a clogged oil filter, some junk partially clogging the...
You might as well just use a stock replacement cam then or if you can find a stock one in good shape use that...
Steve Caruso is the guy to talk to about the pure stock buick 350 racing:

Do not use the 75 head on an older block unless you plug the extra coolant passages... Have a look and you will see extra coolant holes in the center of each head. If you do not plug the holes then...
his is the kickdown cable. it controls the downshifting when you floor the gas... The vacuum line senses the amount of load the engine is under which helps control upshifts, and the governer controls...

Good info here....
I like the Sp400 option since it is a great way to keep a HOT 350 street freindly....
Now days we have such great converters we can get a 3000 stall converter for a...
