There is nothing "unoriginal" about putting power brakes on a 1969.

you should have a purple wire going from the ignition switch to the starter selinoid and a yellow wire from
the starter selonoid to the coil.
the ballast resistor or resistance wire is not required...
I just installed a power brake booster on my 64 Wildcat.
no big changes, I had to drill a couple holes I the brake bracket
and make a new MC to brake line connector. I got the booster
out of a 94...
I put a PertronixII in my Wildcat 445 (425), removed the dist to make it easier.
slid it right back in and fired it up. sure starts easy.
will do the same with the leSaber's 300; should be easier...
Had same problem with ignition switch on my 64 Wildcat - chased my tail for a day trying

When I had finished removing all the little push on 5/16ths nuts off all the tits, to remove the chrome
on my 64 Wildcat, I decided I would find a better way of reattaching the chrome and letters....
I've installed a cheaper electric fuel pump on the Wildcat, feeds a 425.
I just came across the Carter P60504, that has the filter - that mounts
between the fuel tank and pump.

Let's remember:
A relay is there to protect the switch -
electrict motors, starter, windows, electric
locks, window motors, electric fans, etc.,
take considerable more amperage than the
14 guage...
Probably leakig i the lower corners of the rear glass gasket.
you just have to replace the gasket.

did you pull the door jam switch (to the dome light)? that wire goes to the light switch and the ignition switch.
I just did a complete wiring harnes replace and I had two (one from each of my 64s)...
I think for 72 it was still lap belts. Correct?
I might still have a set - I installed three point belts

You might also look for a cracked vacuum line.
