Thank you for the clarification. Nice to know that everything appears to line up and that I appear to the have original drivetrain :)
I am somewhat confused... The date number on the tag is 298.. That would be October 24'th (1964 is a leap year). The fender tag on the car has a date code of 06C which would indicate the third week...
Awesome! Thank you.. That's the information I was looking for!
Hi, I have a 64 Skylark with the 2-speed automatic transmission. Just had everything cleaned up and found the transmission plate.

Hi,
Over the winter, I hope to add some electrical components to my '64. Rather than try to tie into existing fuses, I am considering adding a 4 or 6 terminal distribution block with blade fuses...
I ordered used originals from eBay this morning.. Time will tell..
Not sure how 'inferior' the reproductions are, but thank you..
Have a '64 skylark convertible in decent shape, looking to purchase chassis and body manuals.. I see that Rock Auto has two versions one from 'Dave Graham" and the other from "Bishko".. Has anyone...
Thank you for the advice.. The cell phone holder is set up between the driver and passenger and the charging cord would be there as well, so no danger of imperial entanglements lol
Am considering another option as well..
Next to the lighter is the 'Accessory' switch that used to raise/lower the convertible top. Long before I bought the car, a rocker switch was added to the...
I have a regular adapter that I use, but it's touchy in the cigarette lighter. Also like the idea of having the volt meter to keep an eye on the battery / generator.
Thanks for the suggestion.. I will see what mounting locations are available and see if I know someone with some fabrication skills.. I have zero! lol..
This probably sounds silly to some, but I can't decide what to do. I have a '64 skylark convertible that's almost all original and in pretty good shape overall. Runs and drives nicely, no rust and...

I took the kick panel off and removed all the cardboard & duct tape covering the vent. After lubricating the cable (with lithium grease), I was able to get it to move..The moving part of the vent (a...
Thank you!!
I have a 64 skylark convertible that I am just starting to work on. I hate the fact that it only has the 3 idiot lights on the dash, but don't want to ruin the originality that it has.. the dash is...

Apologies for the confusion.. I meant the toe panel vents near the floor, not the vent windows (small triangular windows near the front of the door). Those are manual and both work just fine. It's...
Were you able to follow the link to the walk-around? Thanks for the tips.. The next project on the list is to get the horn working.. Trying to troubleshoot that now. I get continuity through the...
