alright so far i have been helped alot with all the info, but now i checked my gear ratio and it doesn't seem right i spun the tire 10 times with both tires off the ground and the driveline spun 25.5...

alright i put that 750 on and it runs pretty good except when i try to hit the gas hard it sounds like it wants to die so i let it go and push it lighty and it goes good would the jets or squirters...

well i fixed all of the problems the reason it didn't pump oil is because i didn't notice the distributor wasn't sitting flush to the timing cover so now i am going to break in the cam tomorrow and...

alright i hooked up the gauge and fired it up and it went up to 10 then dropped back to 0 and so i tried to prime it and it went to 10 and stayed there and didn't go any higher

yes i packed the pump with vasaline and i hooked up a gauge and will find out the oil pressure after i fix an intake leak

ok i finished the engine install today and when i primed the oil pump i spun the motor and primed it and did this a couple of times and when the engine fired it wasn't pumping oil what could be wrong...

ok i am putting the engine together this weekend and i need some info on how to install the cam bearings is there any way to make my own tool to install them or will i just have to buy one? thanks

so if they aint that bad then do you think that is would be ok to just hone it?

would it be neccecary to bore the block? because i am kind of on a budget. would a hone work as good to clean them? i am new to building engines so any help appreciated.

so today i took apart my 455 to rebuild and found that five of eight pistons were cracked and one of the bearings for the cam was broken. the cylinders look good and i am just going to buy a rebuild...

i took apart my 1970 455 and one of the valves are bigger than the other i may be mistaken but is it a stage 1? any help apreciated thanks pics down below

well i took the motor apart and when i went to loosen the distributor the bolt was loose and when i pulled the distributor the teeth were broken on it and the cam and i found a bearing in the oil pan...

i am about to get a 455 from a friend and he said it has been rebuilt but the timing chain jumped and i was wondering how to fix it.
