ALL "Nail" distributor are INTERCHANGEABLE. So you could go the more modern route & install a "windowed" distributor from a '57-'66 "Nail". Much easier to find parts for & much easier to upgrade to...

This has been discussed MANY times on V8buick.com Originals are going for pretty good $$$. There is an alternative. Not original, but OK.

You can swap oil pans & exhaust manifolds. They will bolt right on. Your going to have to make your own pick-up tube as the oil pumps are of a slightly diff. design & mounting.

BEFORE throwing $$$ away replacing parts DO COMPRESSION & LEAK DOWN TESTS TO CONFIRM THE HEALTH OF YOUR ENGINE. Then we can go from there.

The later aluminum rockers are ALL 1.6 ratio & fit ALL "nails". Usually adds about 10HP.
