I just bought a residual valve for the 1/4'' steel line that goes from the M/C to the TEE for the front of the brakes. The line is 20'' long and has the necessary loop between the M/C and the TEE....
Tom, thanks so much for coming up with all these great troubleshooting methods. I will try that right now.
I do not know the bore size of the M/C, but it is a professionally rebuilt booster and...
Dam I really hope it's something else, everything is new and tight!!!
Man that would be sooo cool if I can tell my know-it-all bro in law that I got my set up going WITH OUT those 2 valves!!!!!!!!!!!
So did you mean take off the drums and look at the WHEEL...
Spoke with my bro in law about my brakes not working properly and he got mad at me because he INSISTS that I need a proportioning and residual valve!!! Tom said I did not need a prop valve and he's...
So about my reverse problem, the reason for starting this thread many months ago, IT HAS BEEN FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That reverse anchor repair bracket from Autotran that I mentioned earlier...
Hi Tom, thanks for the info, I'm glad I can still find 10 ohm speakers through GM, I'll do a search on them.
About the original fader switch, I had no idea it was behind the station knob. I...
I just spoke with Greg from Turnswitch, he gave me a lot of info. He believes the rear speaker was 4 ohms, but couldn't find the exact rating on his manuals. He said if it were his car he'd go with...
That's great!!!! I just remember when I was looking to test my radio that it was said that the wrong speaker may blow the stereo. Think if it was too low?? Or too high? In ohms. So now it would have...
I see. I assumed they'd get the same, 50/50. But I will get a switch. so it IS possible to add this speaker with the correct configuration? The stereo can handle more than the front 4ohm speaker? Or...
I called Greg earlier but they were closed already, I'll ask that when he returns my call.
What would the fader for the back speaker be for? I can control the sound from the stereo, but what would...
Oh I see. So then what was the point or benefit of having a second speaker in the back? Just louder?
How much can these radios handle in terms of ohms? Can i add the second one safely without...
Thanks sooooooooooo much guys! I am super appreciative for continuing help. With all your help my car will end up being like new and last me forever!!!
I will take a look under the covers and...
I see what you're saying. The cylinders are both on the passenger side. According to the maual, the cylinders are numbered like this:
7 8
5 6
3 4...
I have attached pictures of the driver head and the passenger head. The driver head you can see a darker mark that looks and feels damp (I tried to circle in red) and it is not as flush as the...
Thank you Tom! I'm glad I can continue on.
Did a compression test and all cylinders read 155 psi, except cyl #3 & #7, those Read 120.... dam.
My bro in law is asking me if the 364 has...
Thanks Tom!!!!!! Ur the Riviera man. So I'm good to go right? No need for a so called proportioning valve or pressure switch
Excellent, That makes perfect sense. I saw it exactly that same way. I will continue on WITHOUT it, and hope it turn out ok....Thanks so much.
Right, the '60 doesn't have one so I didn't think I would need one, BUT since I'm putting in a braking system from a '70 and was designed to have a proportioning valve, now I don't know if I need...
Hello Everyone, hope everybody had a great holiday weekend...
I was up in Los Angeles in car heaven (for me), went to a car show with my brother in law and his car club, we were cruising in his...
Hi what's the bolt pattern on the 60 buick? Is it 5x5 or 5x5.5?
OHHHH!!!!! I think I finally got it. The flat head machine screw in undersunk hole with nut makes perfect sense now.
I'll check some audio shops to see if I can find a bracket that works, if not...
Besides my bracket situation (which is not a big one, I'll figure it out) I was wondering if anyone has installed a PCV System in their Buick? I've read on another forum that someone with a 2 door...
What do you think of these quick sketches as options?
