    If the cam is intended to be used with solid lifters, it will have "clearance ramps" to quiet the operation. I don't remember the clearance but you must have it for the valve events to be correct....

    Did you consider that you may have a solid lifter cam? if you do, it won't run right without 15 thou clearance..Dave
