Great. That's more than enough reason to use the th350.
So here's my list so far:
73 455 motor (Stock)
th350 transmission (stock)
TA aluminum frame pads
stock trans. mount
66 skylark manual...
i wouldnt be dragging this car at all. just want the car to pull when i want to and do some burnouts when the chicks are looking,lol.
so, if i go with the TH350 could i use my stock ST300...

Called TA yesterday and they said if I have a th400 short tail, then shortening my driveshaft isn't needed to work with my 8.2 rear end. Can someone verify if this is true?
Thanks a lot for the suggestion. The 350 would have to be rebuilt anyway because the seller said the pump needs to be replaced. If using the 350 helps me save more money, then I don't need the th400....
