now the starter relay is buzzing while trying to start the car. nothing else is happening.

solenoid is replaced, its still doing the same thing. its definitely coming from the starter. i can feel heavy vibraton from the starter and you can see the engine try to turn.

battery is fully charged.
i touched the two wires on the carb switch and got it to "click" once like it was trying to engage.
then I replaced the starter relay and now it makes a loud, fast paced, clicking/buzzing sound....
ive got a 58 with a dynaflow and the car has been sitting for a couple of months.
when i went to start it up yesterday nothing happened. after depressing the gas pedal several times it made contact...

when i got it, i had to really jam it down into reverse and it would go.

it "wobbles" about 1/3 of an inch front to back, but I dont think that would bind the starter since its not side to side putting any pressure on the...
i meant to say flexplate, not flywheel.....
right. the engine battery is low and the car has always turned over slowly for some reason, probably the cables. but it always eventually started up. this time it didnt and i flooded it.

The bolts that hold the pump cover on werent alligned with the holes in the flywheel. i thought i had room to bolt the trans up and then turn the flywheel to line the spaces up but obviously that...
ok, trans is in! yay!
now I will hold my breath that the pump seal that i replaced actaully fixed my leak!
Everything should be together by this sunday and i will find out then...
what a fucking fiasco this is turning out to be.
anyone got any ideas why the flywheel is binding up when i try to mate the trans to the engine???
both dowl bolts are in and all the bolts...
anyone know where i can get some of the front pump/torq converter bolts?

also, there seemed to be some eveidence of dried/burnt fluid on the bacdk side of the pump where the rivets are, but iseriously doubt they are leaking to the point where fluid would pour out of my...

is the center input shaft in the trans supposed to have some play in it?
also, is there supposed to be a flat gasket around the inside...

when youre putting the trans back in the car, does the torq convert need to be filled with fluid? or will it fill up when i add fluid to the pan and start the car?

i must be looking at the wrong bolts. Am I seperating the 3 bolts, even spaced, on each side of the engine? They look like they attach tot he flywheel housing not the engine?
how many bolts are attaching the bellhousing to the engine and where are they?I only see four total, two on each side.
