I just finished dropping the 430 I bought into my 1967 Buick Skylark. Both the wiring harness in my car and the wiring harness on it are pretty chopped up and mangled. I found out that...
I blew my 340 last spring... when i opened it up only 2 rods were still connected. I don't quite know why but I'm guessing one of the bearings wasnt getting oil and it just started a chain reaction....
anyone at all?
What would be involved with upgrading my naturally aspirated 3800 in my 99' Regal LS to a supercharged 3800? Is it just a matter of changing some belts around and throwing on a supercharger from a...
Got it... shot ya one back! :D
You could buy a mint one from me!!! thats where!
My 340 just blew up (threw 6 rods... i think one started it) the intake is fine though.

I recently aquired a 74' 455 that I will be putting in my 1967 Buick Skylark 4 dr originally equiped with a 340. My plans for the car are for it to be used primarily on the street with some regular...
Those manifolds arent for the 340 are they? If they are, man why didn't I know those were sold before.
Yes there are, TA Performance has them as well as Poston Those two alone should get ya started. smile.gif
Ya, I think little head was doing thinking for big head... and big head almost lost part of itself graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Don't bother with headers, the stock manifolds flow very well and headers are just not worth their gain compared with the hassle of getting them installed. smile.gif
Two winters ago, mainly due to my own stupidity I got a pretty bad case of frost bite. It was at least -5 degrees F below. (It was around midnight) and I was outside with a bunch of good looking...
Haha, well living in southern Ontario Canada has its benifits but weather isnt one of them. Its nice and warm in the summer with days getting up to 90 degrees. Then there are the days in the winter...
My steering wheel is pretty badly cracked as well. Gonna have to replace it eventually. The car has been in the family since new. It was originally my Grandpa's then my Uncles and now mine. My...
Here are pics of my 67' Skylark that I'm putting the 455 in. It'll be a real sleeper being that its a 4 door. :D

As promised, here are the pics of my car, presently with the 340 in it.
The pics were taken at the car appraisers on a rainy day, so forgive the bad lighting.

I also have manifolds but Aaron said so first so follow him up. Also, if your ever interested, I have a 2bbl intake.
Thanks for all the help so far guys, I'll keep you posted on the build up. The block is at the machine shop right now being bored out.
That was probably part of my problem on my 340.. I had the 1406 Edelbrock carb (600cfm) with headers... ... not even close to enough I'm guessing
Thats a relief, there was no way I was gonna spend that much. That needs to go into my car smile.gif
oi, not cheap by any means
I'm almost done tearing down my 455 and I'm now begining to think about the build up. I'm looking make a nice street/strip car out of the 1967 Skylark that I'm dropping it in. I don't really care too...
Usually your best bet if the engine is already out is to set them in the engine bay. You may have to bang em pretty good with a hammer in order to get them to fit. Secondly, do you have new motor...
