Nice to hear,that it runs....😀🤘🏼
Good Job.. 😉👍🏼
This one ..,i had use it in my old 248 from '48 and now in my 263 too.. ,and it works perfect ....
Nice to see thats it goes on....
Absolutley awesome your bend- job.
I'm courios about the running engine
...nice Thread..:D
The Kits are comes complete ..(not like some modern Cars ,like a Hummer H2,there're no Headgaskets inside the Engine-Gasket-Kit ) .
I had ordered me extra a two Piece Rubber Gasket for the rear...
Yes Guys...
very nice to see that something goin' on in this thread..
You have tryed fresh gasoline ?....maybe the old one in the gastank has lost the ignitability..
I had try to let sleeved my mc,but the machining shops told me, it isn't possible at this part. They can overbored it and build a new Piston for it.
That wasn't ok for me.
The Remanufactured mc ,I...
Ben,
any news ?
Yes,you're right, Dave ...:)
Dave, If I understand you right..yes, of course, i drive with a clearance (best results with .10) with my solids.
But for finding the problem at ( Joe's) hydraulics, I would try it with zero lash...
👍........😉
Yes, Correct..
In my case ,i never use a vacuum gauge...😉..more than closed valves ,new Pistonrings, a sealed intake and a correct timing (chain)isn't possible.
The less pressure/vacuum, I would...
In fact I drive my 263 with solids, but I would give the hydraulics zero lash at running engine, check it by your ears, (then you're can be sure that the Valves are completely closed) .
I do it on...
Your choke flapper ok ? ...may be it sucks to closed position under airflow runs throu the carb intake ?
Yes ,now it works ...👍
If Interessented,here's my set up:

I can't see the pic,only many many other things...😆
If do you wanna use a single tube exhaust you need minimum the Diameter of the Manifold outlets...
Me drive with a dual tube exhaust and it...
Looks more like Packard ...
👍....sounds good..😉
Yes ..., I will try a high quality 20 W 50 at next also , my engine runs for me a little bit too loud/rough at 180° Oiltemperature on the road in the constant 3000 revs.
Ok, i had pimped my pump carefully
a little and have modified my block for a full float system with a PH 8 A spin on Filter .., have same pressure like yours 😉 whatta Oil you drive ? I use a 10 W...
Yes ..👍,nice to hear that and it looks C👀l...
How much Oilpressure do you have ? ...and you drive a fullfloat Oilfilter ? ...if i remember right , no ? ... or is yours on the pic a 262 (?) Chevy...
.....'wish you there good luck ...💪👍
The 263 and 248 use the same cover ...theyre both with a "modern" seal gasket not with a rope ...(i can only tell it from '38 up ;-) ).
