Poll: YouTube Video on oil filters

There's a YouTube video where the guy cuts open a bunch of oil filters. Visibly the Fram was the biggest piece of junk. Every part.
Wix was best. (No I don't have any affiliation)

1957 to 1959 oil pump swap.

They are similar. Has anyone put a 59 oil pump in a 57? Russ Martin at Centerville makes the claim that 59 is better.

Hey, I'm new here and to nailheads, but I am an old car guy. I have a 1957 Special 250hp engine with 1961-66 heads. And an Offy 3557 triple intake. What year head gaskets do I use? Aside from port...

Thank you for the responses Bob and Todd. Well I located a used 1959-60 oil pump. Apparently the 59 pumps more volume. Once I have the two in my hand I will see if they are interchangeable.

I found an old article on line. I thought was about the oil pump. Oops. It was in fact "fuel pumps" as they referenced what the article was about as "the pump" Duh. Thanks for the clarifying.

  13. Hello, I'm new here. From Long Island, N.Y.

Retired, a crazy car guy. I picked up a 1957 364 Nailhead engine for a winter rebuild project. Where is the popular place to buy internal engine parts?
    Thx., Joe
