    Disc Brake Conversion

    You will definetly be better off converting to a newer style disc brake system - the parts for the '68 system, if available, are very expensive and are almost 'unobtanium' !! :thumbsup:

    The lower window chrome should be removed. In addition to the lower screws you have access to and have removed, there are also screws at the top of the panel which may be hidden under the rear window...

    Buick Chrome Rally Wheels

    Not sure of exact application, but they appear to be 2 piece, 'A' body optional chrome wheels, with a 4 3/4" bolt pattern. Probably late '60's early '70 Buick Skylark or GS wheels. :thumbsup:

    Shift Wire Link

    Just make a replacement out of a paper clip, use a large size clip as the wire is thicker, but will bend quite easily. :thumbsup:

    Backfiring through the carb can also be caused by worn cam lobes, particularily under load at WOT. :thumbsup:
