Are you sure it is a 70? I would guess its a 71 based on the hood, steering wheel, seats, color, etc.
all depends on what parts are left on it, that is where the value is. Hood, air cleaner, fan shroud, motor mounts, tach and gauges, rear end (if posi and not all crusty), engine and transmission (if...
Call John Looney, he has a shop in the area and owns and works on old Buicks.

same as the hoods, the hood hinges from the Electra, LeSabre and Invicta will work (no Wildcat in 61). The 62 hinges are slightly different, not sure if they will work or not, but would not be...
Looks like he is having a problem getting the words to appear when he types. All that shows up is ................ :D
Great motor with lots of torque, unfortunately more expensive to build than a Chebby or Ford motor.
Welcome from Kent WA!

I guess budget reasonableness depends on how much you are going to do yourself.
Some of the top Buick engine builders are (in no particular order):

Nice looking car Bruce!
IMO it doesn't add any value over a 455, other opinions may vary.
That is a tall order to outdo the Caddy. You will need to do quite a few upgrades to your drivetrain to get there and have a...
"no replacement for displacement" :D
If you are going to do a performance build, I would agree that you would be better off starting with a 455. Pretty much everything on the front of the motor...
Thanks for the update Chris. I have a friend who is interested, if you could send me the number that would be great!
Thanks, Chris
I use a little paint thinner on a rag or strong shop paper towel folded up small and carefully wipe it repeatedly. rotate rag towel to a clean section (or get another one) and repeat as necessary.
Check the reference section.

I have never heard of an emblem delete option for a GS.
The dealership in WA that owned it is about an hour from my house, and they advertised the heck out of it on CL. They originally had it advertised as a Stage 1, since it had Stage 1 badges on it...
Did you buy the green at BJ in AZ last week? If so, it was only in WA for a year, that dealer bought it at BJ AZ in 2012 and has had it for sale ever since.
You got a good buy on it, certainly...
Very Nice Chris!
Where did you buy yours from? It looks familiar....
