Of coarse you have to check the alignment. But other than that the car rides nice, handles good, runs straight, steers easy at slow and highway speeds. I have radial tires on my car and can still...
I got a pair from Eaton. 2" lowered front and back, the rear was a bit lower than I liked so I put a block in to raise it up a bit. That was maybe 3 years ago springs have not set much. Can't lower...
Trackless. Look at webrodder.com Type in Buick eight fireball on the search. It's a 51 Buick, don't know if it's the same but you might get some ideas.
Bob's Automobilia has them.
Crank the motor over with the spark plugs in the motor. I would put a couple of bolts in loose just to hold the head if it pops loose.
Look's good to.
Looks like a good start. Rare car, Chevy built that body style in 31 & 32. Good to still see young kids into the old cars.
I would be interested in parts for the small eight.
Doors off a coupe should work, just not the glass, conv. had a lower roof. I put doors off a conv. on my 63 Chevy windows were around 2" shorter.
ownedcasey no problem I looked in my folder and got the receipt, I had done this in 1995 and it cost $259.00. But that's my point that was seventeen years ago and still no problem. If you are going...
That looks good for a barn find. I agree with nailheadnut take it to a good radiator shop, that is what I did with the radiator out of my 38 Buick, put in a new core.
I have 38 buick, the starter switch is on the carburetor. when I got the car it did not work and someone put a button under the dash, I fixed that problem, now it works like it should but I got the...

I agree with the radials, put them on my 38. Only I put on a fatter tire, and lowered it for a hotrod look, rides and handles good.
I have walnut shells in mine for paint, dosen't do much more than paint.
I took mine apart cleaned it and applied vaseline on all the moving parts inside worked a lot better. Mine is a 38 not that big of a deal.
I changed my 38 over to 12 volt, I stayed with a generator. I picked up a used generator at a swap meet for 5 bucks, took the insides out and put in the 6 volt case so that the oil holes would be on...
Bob's automobilia. That's where I got mine for my 38 Buick about four years ago, still doing good.
The 53 Special still had a straight eight, last year for it. The super had the V8.
Mine did the same thing, packed ice around the coil, started up got home put a new coil on no more problem.
What does the plugs look like.
The condenser don't make the point's last longer, they make the system work. Take the condenser out or if you have a bad one it will have no spark 6 or 12 volt.
I think maybe he means resistor. I have a coil in my 38 that says it don't need a resistor.
Are you sure it was not cut 10 under on the first rebuild. And I would check the main bearings too. The machine shop should know if it was under.
