My motivations are similar to yours but at heart I'm a hot rodder and I want it to smoke the tires while being a reliable driver.

Money seems to be in cars that are close to stock. Buicks aren't Chevelles so watch the $ you put in. I do think the brake upgrades are a good idea and don't think that would hurt value.:car:
