54 to 56 Special and Century 2 dr ht glass will work and some (maybe all) 54 to 56 Oldsmobile 2 dr ht glass
2dr ht Glass is all different fron 2 dr sedan. Super/Roadmaster 2 dr ht is different than Special/Century 2 dr ht also.

Kanter has rebuild kits 1-800-526-1096 New Jersey USA, and parts come up on E-bay all the time. If it has torque tube drive shaft still it's most likely a dynaflow ( only trans that would...

You can always do what I did, find a drag racer and get the name of who builds his motors and take him the motor to fix it. It'll be way cheaper than replacing it!
56 322" is the way to go. The 56 Dynaflow is an upgrade for the 53 trans, the 56 standard trans will be the strongest Buick trans of that era.
Tulip shaped valves are 56 model year OEM they flow better than the pre 56 motors. I don't think you can get them except NOS GM. I tried when I rebuilt my 56 322 and couldn't find anybody that had...
I'm not sure what happens but I lost two manifolds before I ripped the thing out of the third one so I new it wouldn't be stuck closed again. I've seen Y block Fords have the same problem. the...

I'm saying the riser will freeze in the closed position and the heat will build up in the exhaust manifold and crack it.
I have about $3,800 in this rebuild. .030 56 Roadmaster pistons, Poston NH200 cam and lifters, 401 aluminum high lift rockers, 16 new valves, Crane racing springs and retainers, .010/.010 crank....
LOL. If all else fails read the instructions.
You also have the problem of the spring breaking or falling off the valve causing it to flop to the closed possition and breaking the exhaust manifold.

Us boys in South Carolina and Mississippi USA won't have the winter driving problems people have in a Swedish winter. we think freezing is way above freezing! LOL.

I'm very interested in the set up specs on your tri-power and ignition. I have a 56 322 .030 overbore with Roadmaster pistons, a Poston NH200 cam with 401 aluminum rockers, and a Weiand...

On my 56 I grabbed the metal flapper inside the exhaust and bent it back and forth till it broke off the shaft. If the valve freezes in the closed position your manifold will crack from the...
Mark Goforth just left for Calif. in my baby. Miss her already but I still have the motor in attachment and I'm trying to do a deal on a 30 Model A that was made to use it.
Choke on the carb work? Did you change the rotor and distributor cap?
The 56 Manifolds have bigger runners and flow better than the earlier manifolds.

I always wondered if the late 55 motor wasn't just the start of the 56 run of motors. Do the late 55 motors have the 56 pistons, cam, exhaust valves and combustion chamber machining ?

Disconnect the end carb linkage and see if it still pops. You may be adding to much carb to fast. If it stoppes the poping try to adjust the linkage so you get latter opening so the end carbs open at...
Does anyone know if the 65-66 valve seals mentioned will fit the 56 head? Anyone have a part number, or source? Thanks[/QUOTE]
Machine work on the valve guide would be needed to install the...
Y'all
Front rubber seal (from Buick455) CR#19786 or Fedral Mogul #474272, rear seal from Buick V6 Felpro #BS40613.
The rubber seal from a Buick V6 will also fit the Nailheads ( I have one in the rear of my 322) I was told you can remove the old seal and insert the new rubber seal with out removing the crank. I...

Drop the idler arm off the steering and the tie rod will drop enough to get the pan off. I thought I had a rear main leak and it was the filter gasket, some how the oil made it to the...
Check the oil filter gasket.
I don't think you can beat rebuilding the strait eight in price and reliability ! About $2500 to $3000 would do a super solid rebuild with a few updates you won't do an engine change for any where...
