Just a follow-up, I fixed it with a spring I matched up from a hardware store, with the latch assembly on my bench, I was able to pick off the rusted spring and wind the replacement onto the post....

My push button return spring broke on my latch causing the door to be unable to unlock. I "slimjimed" the door open & removed the latch, can this spring be replaced and is it available? Thanks

hey i checked the connections of the ignition switch and everything is intact& no signs of arcs.by the way,i've owned this car for 12 years& it has'nt been altered in any way. any other ideas,anybody?
