crankcase breather.
I have a 1950 263, basically stock except for a log intake with 3 Stromberg 97s. Exhaust will be 8 straight pipes. The engine has not run yet with this setup. When you say lock out the centrifugal...
I do not believe any of the Stromberg 97s have vacuum ports.
Pilots are used on the intake only. As for the use of sealant CNC-DUDE says to use it.
anybody?????
Motor is stock so the cam probably is also. With my tires and rear end it should do 61mph at 2200rpm and 69mph at 2500rpm.
I from need some expert advice from you guys. I am finishing up a 2X4 log intake for my bone stock 1950 263. It will be running three new Stromberg 97s. My question is how long should my runners be....
I found an outlet for 12"X12" soft copper sheets. Would 16 or 22ga be ok for making exhaust gaskets, would it also work for the intake?
Thanks
Randy
Bringing this back up to see if anyone has run one of these on a 263. Don't want to spend $500 on dist and wires unless i can find some positive feedback.
Anyone know where i can get solid copper exhaust gaskets? Also are the round metal gaskets for the intake all that i need to use for a seal? I am not using the stock manifolds but custom...
I'm looking to buy 2 WKO55 kits from webercarbdirect.com. I would be running 2 DGEV carbs and manifolds, i assume that would be like running a small 4brl. Would also be running a Holley regulator.
Has anyone with a 248 or 263 used the MG intakes with 2brl Weber carbs? According to info in an old thread the manifolds will work with about 1/16" of porting. I don't want to spend $600 if it's not...
Tranny, torque converter, starter and all other parts are still waiting for you. It's not going anywhere. I'm glad they fixed the problem with the flanges. You don't need to bring them I'm using the...
The exhaust and intake are different sizes. The problem with their flanges was the exhaust ports were not all the same size. The #1 & #8 ports were larger than the rest. They may have fixed the...
Were your flanges ok or were the #1 & #8 ports to large?
I bought just the exhaust flanges from Hells Gate Hotrods and they are of excellent quality. The ports are 1 1/2" which is the perfect size. I have heard that the ports on the intake flange are 1...
I bought a set of those about a year ago. The #1 & #8 exhaust ports were larger than all the rest. I don't know if they have fixed this or not. Was not happy with the product and told them so. They...
Is anyone making a one piece exhaust/intake flange for the 263?

Its really not 1 cent, its free! 1950 trans, was behind a 263. It came out of a running car, and is all there, from the block back. All nuts, bolts, flywheel etc., even includes the starter. Will not...
1951 263ci
Type in antique Buick parts and a lot of companies will come up. Most of them sell complete freeze plug sets and some offer them in brass also.
I purchased both the intake and exhaust flanges for my 263. The exhaust port on the head is 1 1/4in and the hole on the flange is 1 1/2in, seems like that will work just fine. The intake port on the...
