The Buick road wheels are 15X 7 and have a 4 1/2 back space. I just checked the aliminum wheels on the 95 - 96 Roadmaster and they are the same. You might look at them as possible candidates.

Look at the wiring diagram in the manual, and see what circuits the fuse supplies. then start looking at each one until you find the culprit.
The other method is to put an set screw in the fuse...
The bolt pattern is 5 holes equally spaced around a 5 inch diameter but I don't know the back spacing.
I had a 57 Special that was sitting on a 72 Chassis. You might want to think about this swap, as it will give you a much better handling Buick with more brakes and steering.:thumbsup:
They ran Dynaflows just like the 320 CI engines
The 320 inch engine is longer ,and will not fit unless you want to cut the firewall and make MAJOR modifications
You are welcome ! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
The Special and Super are 248CI and the Century ,Roadmaster and Limited are 320 CI
I put a 68 Chevy pickup clutch and pressure plate in my 40. Ithink your car uses the same one my 40 does.
I have put 106,000 miles on my 1940 Super since 1972, and have never use any lead additives. The engine still runs great, and I don't think hardened seats are necessary.
I was told by one of the...
you already have it, so give it a try! You may have to redo the accelerator pump cams, but I'll bet it will liven up the old girl.
The stock carb for this engine was either 750 or 800 CFM depending on who you talk to. You need more carb to make it wake up!
I'll be here. I only live 15 miles from the show area
If you want the cap wired according to the original setting, you will need to drop the distributor in with the rotor pointing toward the right spot in the cap and the number one cylinder on top dead...
Check the timing. If it is too far advanced, you will find that the starter does not have enough extra power to turn the engine over.
You will need to change the rear end to open drive. There is no way to utilize the torque tube set up in the car. This means you will need to use a 4 link set up and build all new mounts....
The 455 HEI is a direct interchange for your points distributor. A350 Buick can also be used but you will need to change the gear from a 14 tooth to the 13 tooth used in the 455. Done forget that the...

The 430 is in a garage 3 miles from my house. Sloan would not appreciate what it is ,as they don't have a clue about cars. They lost all their car guys when they let Jim Johnson go a few...

Go to your local bone yard and get a center section from a 53-55 V8 dynaflow Buick. They are from 3.3-3,6and you can put your drive shaft and torque tube on it abd bolt it in.
If you are talking production engines, I would not even guess, but I just saw a 430 made in 1965 with all the numbers ending in X . It has 2 Q-jet carbs on a cast iron manifold, and some really funky...
A 200-4R trans and a low 3 rear axle ratio would make a cruiser that would get good mileage and also go like the fires of Hades! :shifter::shifter:
I have a complete set. Where are you located.
PM me
The 55 was better than the 53, but they made some changes in 56 that made that the best of the 322s
The only way you can make a 53 into a 55 -56 is change the pistons and heads.
The 53 322 had a HUGE dome on the piston, and a deep cumbustion chamber. They tended to get a lot of wrist pin noise and they were not really a good design. By 1956, the pistons had a much more...
