I also have one I could part with, just don't go for the 350. It is always so dissapointing to see a nice old buick at a show and then see a 350 under the hood.

I am installing stock 41/42 carter dual carbs on my 51. The shape of the throttle levers make the pivot points odd and uneven. I am wondering if anyone else is running these carbs on their 50's...
it is a 51 buick special, but I am running dual carters off of a 41. the tube from each the 51 and 41 seem to be the same, but both are damaged.
I have to replace the vacuum line that comes out of my distributor. The tube is very small and the end doesn't seem to be flared. What kind of fitting does this have? Does the line have some...
is there a way to get rid of the vacuum advance on the distributor, and convert it to centrifugal advance? and if so how is this done?
anyone with any info on this?
is the number marked anywhere on the carb besides the tag, wich is no longer on the carb. it is supposed to be a 528 or 509 carter, but I would like to be able to confirm this.
mine is the 6v unit pi-1183n6. bought it frombobs automobilia. for the 12v you just drop the n6 from the part #
wondering if there is a way to tell what model number carter a carb is if it is missing the tag? I'm trying to buy a rebuild kit for a carb that I bought, but without the tag I don't know what model...
I just purchased a set of '41 carter carbs for the dual set up. My question is about the secondary carb. I am aware that this one doesn't have a choke. There is only one lever wich opens and...
I just recieved a pertronix kit for my '51 263ci. I can't recall wich way the dist. rotor rotates and don't have acces to the car for a couple of days. If anyone knows wich way it spins or can...
hey lowrider the car looks great. are your skirts and sunvisor repro or originals, and where did you find them?
cut the front and rear springs on my 51 special, using a cut off wheel. droped about 2 1/2 all the way around with absolutely no change in the way it rides.
I bought a set of 52 hubcaps on e-bay and big surprise, they are much rougher than described. My question is if these are stainless, and can be cleaned up on a buffing wheel, or are they chrome?...
does anyone have a good description, picture, or drawing of how to modify the motor mount on a 51 as to be able to run the stock 41-42 dual exhaust?
thanks
does anyone have a good decription, drawing, or pictire of what has to be done to the motor mount in order to make the 41-42 dual exhaust fit ?
Alleycat, reading through old posts , I read...
thanks for the replies. Ive visited a few exhaust shops in my area and some don't want anything to do with it. The others want what seems like way too much money. Has anyone had a set of headers...
Im looking at having a header made for the 263 in my 51 special. Im wondering on how to group the ports together. Should it be front four into one collector and back four into another? Should it...
has anyone on here split one of these manifolds? can you split them 4-4 or are you limited to 5-3? if 5-3 is all thats possible, does it sound strange and uneven?
leaf fan are you staying with the stock exhaust or are you planning on changing that
hey leaf fan I am having the same dilema with a stock 1951 263. I am going to use a dual carb manifold from edmunds, and have been looking for carbs. I have read somewhere on this site that the...
did you have the manifold split in two? if so is it 5-3 or 4-4 and how does it sound?
