My 52 dynaflow leaks when it is sitting. If I drive it everyday it does not leak.
Make sure it is red transmission fluid. A leak at the rear of the engine such as the valve cover could run down on the transmission if the car was lower in the back.
Remove the stud, put some #2 permatex on the threads reinstall it and see if you still have a problem.

Do you want an open or enclosed drive shaft? Look into transmissions that will bolt to that engine.
The plug is 18 mm X 1.50 thread. A 1 inch wrench fits the plug perfectly for removal from pan.
