Thanks for your input . I think one of my problems was the seal is from Steel rubber products and it is probably too thick . Well after I get it all cleaned up I will try again . Thanks Mike
Just a update if you need to replace trunk seal on a 54 buick and you go to Steel Rubber products. They have 2 different ones ,get the thinner one . I had the thicker one and it would not work correctly so we had to take off and cut half the seal away to repair . Big pain.
I dont understand What trunk seal is.Is it rubbersealing inside trunk?:shifter::car::waving:.Stubbe in Sweden.
Stubbe, When you open the trunk there is a rubber seal that keeps water out of trunk . on a 54 buick the seal is glued to deck lid. If you ever have to replace it take a tip & remove trunk lid and turn upside down to glue seal on. MikeQuote:
