I recently picked up 62 (supposedly) LeSabre 4dr sedan. BEAUTIFUL condition, engine is stuck.. has the 364, but according to everything I've read, production on the 364 stopped in 61.. Seem normal to you?

Probably not the original engine if it is a 364 or a 1961 instead of a 1962. Post pictures of the engine production code number and the engine serial number. This link shows where to find them:

Also check the car serial number plate in the driver door jamb.

4 I 1 0 6 0 5 7 1
What's your thoughts?
Also there was a wildcat 445 air cleaner in the trunk, but who knows, people pick up that stuff all the time.
Hard to tell, it depends on if that is the engine production code or the car/engine serial number. It can be decoded two ways depending on which number it is.
Assuming it is the car/engine serial number, it decodes like this:
4I1060571
4 = Series 4400/LeSabre
I = 1962
1 = Flint, MI
060571 = sequential number, range for Flint built fullsize cars was 001001 to 101495
Assuming it is the engine production code number, it decodes like this:
4I 1060571
4I = 401 V8 w/ 4-bbl carb and 10.25:1 compression ratio (Wildcat 445)
1060571 = sequential engine number
My guess is that the number you provided is the car/engine serial number and not the engine production code number because the sequential engine serial number would be too high compared to the total production.
1962 is a tricky year, if you have pictures of both the engine production code and the engine serial number that would be helpful. The engine production code is located on the passenger side of the engine in front of the valley cover and the engine serial number is located on the driver side of the engine in front of the valley cover. In 1963 Buick changed the engine production code scheme so it was not possible to confuse the engine production code and the engine serial number like you can in 1962.
the 364ci has a different deck height than any other Nailhead, therefore you can tell whether the Nailhead is NOT a 364 simply by measuring the distance between the valve covers.
look at the dimensions on the bottom of this page:
https://www.teambuick.com/reference/...s_nailhead.php
322 and 264 share the same deck and 401 and 425 also share their deck height so you can't narrow displacement down any further with that data point.
why do you think you have a 364ci?
