Is a 1953 Riviera with 322 a 12 volt or 6 volt car?
The period style battery has no indication of what it it.
What is an easy way to tell?
Thanks in advance,
Rick

Easiest way to tell is count the individual cells. 6 cells for 12 Volt. Your '53 Super should be 12 Volt, that year only, the straight 8 in the Special was still 6 volt, all the rest 12v.

The battery has 6 caps on top, so I am assuming that would mean 6 cells.
I keep finding conflicting opinions on this for 1953 cars and I don't have a shop manual yet.
Thanks
