The standard thermostat was a 170F unit, part no 1389275. There are some NOS items out there on eBay and at www.collectorsautosupply.com Aftermarket suppliers apparently are not making this thermostat with the 170 rating. Typical aftermarket subs are 160F parts like Stant 13476/Gates 33036/ACDelco 12T6B.
The optional 180F thermostat was part no 1391225 (later 3156288). Typical aftermarket items are Stant 13478/Gates 33038/ACDelco 12T6D.
