camshaft break-in...(did I break it?)
So I finaly got the whole thing installed over the weekend.
Break-in was damn scary! for the first 10-12 minutes it sounded like it was gonna blow itself to hell, but then it settled down (as did my heartrate, lol)
I ended up having it running for about 25 minutes, and then let it cool overnight.
Started it up the next day and there is a tick in it, can't pinpoint it to one valve (like before) but I don't know what it could be other than valves :confused:
It's faint at idle but becomes more apparent at higher RPM.
Is this 'normal' after a break-in and will it fade away or is there a good chance I did something wrong? maybe a 'bad' new lifter? worn pushrod maybe (I didn't get new ones)?
I just got a timing light the other day, going to set my ignition 100%, maybe that helps...idk
