You have a turbo 400 in a 66 special? They came with an st300 2-speed auto. (powerglide). If you have the original 300 ci (wildcat 355) then you need the linkage from a manual trans skylark, which is more conventional (chevy like). If your car has a 401 (nailhead) then you need 65-66 GS specific linkage. Pedals should be the same either way. Parts are hard to find, and it might be easier to pursue a hydraulic clutch actuation set up. Any way you look at it. The way to approach this , is to find a donor vehicle, that is equiped with the manual set up, (and has the same engine as you ) then swap everything over. Good luck!!
I have recently seen on ebay.
Also - try chicago muscle car. They have alot of parts.
good luck!
my 66 does not have an oringinal engine it has a 1969 430 big block engine in it
Well that makes things easier. The pedal assembly is the same for all A-body BOPs from 64-66. You simply replace your single pedal with the standard pedals using the same fixture that is in your car. Ebay may be a good place to look for them. There is a standard BBB bell-housing that may be difficult to find, but there is also BOP bell-housing that has clearance for the starter on both sides. The BOP bell is more common and should be easier to find. Lakewood also makes a BOP housing new if you want to go that route. Do you have the clutch linkage and z bar? They may depend on the housing you get and if you decide to use a hydraulic clutch.
