1946 248ci No spark through distributor
My friend and I have been working on getting a fairly rough '46 Super 50 running, and we've run into an issue with the ignition system. There is definitely spark coming from the coil, and with a plug straight out of the coil, it definitely has spark. With the coil connected to the distributor cap, there is no spark at any of the plug outputs. I tried getting the coil to arc to the input on the distributor cap, and it wouldn't.
I'm not very familiar with points style distributors, and I am not entirely sure where our problem might be. I'm wondering if the coil is weak, or if the original condenser is bad, or maybe something I'm just missing completely. I'd really appreciate any suggestions that might lead to figuring the issue out!
