Hi, I'm new here...
However, I am reconditioning a 1961 Buick Electra and found that my gas tank is unable to be repair. Can anyone point me in the direction in which I may get a replacement? Please and Thank you in advance!

The '61 Electra/Electra 225 models used two types of tanks depending on the wiring.
The first type, no 1348589, was used with the 2-wire gas gauge system. This one had no crossover to other series or years.
The second type, no 1353303, was used with the 1-wire gas gauge system. This one was also used on the '61 LeSabre/Invicta models (except wagons). It was found as well on all '62 full-size Buicks (except wagons). A NOS part sold a while back on eBay for about $300.
No reproduction parts appear to be available after searching the Net.
Salvage yards would be another option. One large yard not too far from here www.ctcautoranch.com shows a couple of '62 LeSabre sedans being parted out.
Thank you Todd :)
