Straight-8 D.U.I. Distributor

Performance Distributors is now offering the D.U.I.-Davis Unified Ignition for

1936-1953 Straight-8 Buicks 248-263-320. The D.U.I. is a one-piece,

one-wire distributor. The

D.U.I.,

which is fully electronic, eliminates the hassles of changing points and makes for a

much cleaner installation than other aftermarket systems that make a maze of messy

wiring. The 50,000 Volt D.U.I. Coil, which is inside the cap, allows you to open up

your plug gaps to .055”. This burns your fuel more completely. The Dyna-Module,

which is located inside the distributor, has more electronic dwell time built into it.

The extra dwell time allows the coil to saturate longer, sending a massive spark to

your plugs. A heavy duty cap and rotor with brass terminals insure maximum

conductivity. Each D.U.I. is calibrated on a distributor machine with a super

smooth advance curve. The dialed-in curve provides you with instant throttle
