received my new connector , having difficulties getting old one out. Whats the trick. My old one is recessed in just enough to give me a hard time. My old one turns in the tranny. I have tried pulling on it and it is loose but will not pop out. Any suggestions.
There are some fingers on the connector that hold the connector in the transmission case. The fingers have to be compressed from inside the case to free the connector from the case. Here are the pages from the shop manual where the connector appears in the disassembly and assembly instructions.
Wow, such a simple job that is not that easy. Got the pan off and the connector out which was a tough not being on a lift. I noticed my wires inside are cracked badly so Im going to use some black gasket sealer to cover up the cracks and get it all put back together. Thanks for help.
all back together , idles great in and of gear. Raining here so no test drive.
