1967 wildcat 430. No oil to rockers at startup after sitting for 31 years. Read through everything here and am going to try the vaseline packing trick. Got the pump apart today and will pack and start tomorrow. Next up brakes don't work.

Vaseline worked great. No more rocker noise. Engine sounds really good. The rear master cylinder reservoir was empty. Filled it, now the brakes work. Transmission dip stick showed empty. Added 3 quarts, still shows empty. But now car moves forward and reverse. Will add more fluid tomorrow. Good day today.
Added 3 more quarts today. All full. Shifts great. Replaced the short rubber hoses off the fuel pump. No more leaking. Drove it home. What a fun ride. Getting new tires on Monday. The steering is very sloppy. Will look at that next week.

Be sure to check your brake lines and hoses. I don't think the rear reservoir was empty by coincidence.
Steve, thank you for the reply. I pulled the rear drums and inspected but not the front drums. You are correct. I will check the fronts this weekend.
