Has anyone made AC pump bracket for 322 Nailhead?
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully made an air conditioning compressor bracket that bolts onto a 322 / 264 nailhead. Custom, aftermarket, factory reproduction, etc.
Also, are the pulleys from these engines interchangeable? I think power steering pulleys are slightly different, however are there other differences between the different years of 322 and 264 nailheads?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen the 401 bracket but it looks like its a long ways from compatible with the 322. The 322 generator bracket is actually part of the motor mount. So I guess that could be cut and then try to adapt a 401 bracket. I'm thinking about making a new motor mount / alternator / ac bracket system. two birds with one stone perhaps.
Thanks for the message, I sent an email asking for help!

I decided against adapting a 401 bracket and thought I could give it a shot myself. I need to make a couple adjustments but it mounts in place and looks pretty good. this is an SD508 style compressor. This would look awfully good with a new alternator, I might just have to make one big bracket to do both.

Minimum pulley contact with 322 generator?? pics
So I'm putting together the air conditioning on a 55 Buick with a 322 right now and with the new AC pump, here is what the v belt contact looks like. I know these arent high output alternators, and therefore should have much drag, but is this asking for trouble? also, would a pulley on the back of the v belt like the bottom picture be a good idea? other thoughts? two belts on the passenger side isn't really an option either.
