Is there any advantage to changing out my 264 to a 322? I have a '55 that will be needing a rebuild.. I have access to both another 264 and a 322.. Is there any advantage to to 322? Looks like the horse power has the same rating... thoughts?

What years are the engines? There are different HP's for diff. years and CI. Plus performance upgrades, only certain parts interchange...
Ex.: 1950 264 = 150 HP, all the way up to 1956 322 = 255 HP and all sorts of combinations in between.

The best engine of the 322's is the '56. It is the most modern & up to date of the early engines. You could also go with any of the others, 364/401/425. For the most part they are a bolt-in especially if your car has a manual trans. Just some thoughts.

Actually it is a '56 322 that is the potential. Comes with the dynaflow too. I think I'll go ahead and use it. I appreciate the feedback.. Much thanks!
