(Year) correct Buick Rallye Wheels for 1967?

Hi,

I would like to know how exactly Rallye Wheels for a '67 Buick looked like when new. I got a used set and planning to redo the painted black parts and maybe exchange the center/hub cap (currently its having probably the wrong 7x's style caps, flat with a silver "Buick Motor Devision" emblem). So, which type of black paint did they use bacl then: gloss, semi-gloss or matte paint? And how do the correct "67 center caps" look like? Is it by chance the one on the bottom picture?

Cheers,
Harry

P.S.: The rim pictured does not show one of my wheels, just an example...

That center cap looks correct to me, it is what is on mine. I would think the black should be a "satin", semi-gloss.

Hey @Bob ,

thanks heaps, thats just what I needed to know to get things going! Do you maybe also know how the brake drums looked when new? Were they painted (silver? black? primer grey?) or just "bare metal"?

Cheers,
Harry

The fronts were just aluminum, I don't have any idea about the rears, possibly black, but I painted mine aluminum because you can see them through the wheels, no paint won't look good, and black won't match the front.

Thats exactly what I hoped for - as you can see small portions of the drum fronts peeking through those 5 holes in the rims - so in order to have a decent contrast to the black parts of the rims silver would just fit nicely here.

Thanks again!

Cheers,
Harry

The wheel you show is for the A body car's. Your car need the larger Riviera style wheel
