Greetings,
I recently worked to remove and replace the vinyl top on a 1968 Skylark Coupe. During the process of removing the old vinyl I discovered the window openings needed some metal work so I removed the windows and restored the metal around the openings. The first step was removing the windshield and rear window reveal moldings. When I removed these moldings I found a thin plastic shim/cushion under the chrome that has a small channel on one side that fits at the edge of the metal while the other side seems to just lay between the opposing trim edge and car body. Does anyone know if that plastic shim material is available. Appreciate any help on that. Thanks.
