wildcat hood interchange?

i have a 1970 wildcat and i need a hood whoever owned it b4 me left it unlatched and flew up on highway and creased it. wondering if anyone knows if hood off other Buick models will fit. i think le sabre is same and ive heard others will but unsure. hard to find parts for this car around here

I believe you can use any 1970 Wildcat, LeSabre or Electra hood.

Yes, Electra, LeS, and Wildcat will interchange but remember to swap your front horizontal chrome strip over if the donor hood is from a LeS (unless Custom or 455 more likely to have the trim as an option).

They’re all old. I mainly wanted to test whether the Q&A blog was even still monitored. It’s kind of a shame really. It’s a nice forum for info.

Good to know the Wildcat, LeS, and Electra all interchange. Anyone know what years interchange? I have a '66 Wildcat. While the hood is straight, there are 7 or so good size rust holes. I am going to attempt to patch them, but would like a backup plan in case I need a whole new hood. Seems like nobody makes new hoods for these cars.

The Master Parts Book shows the only match for the '66 Wildcat hood is the '66 Electra 225 hood. GM part no is 1375008.

The '65-68 LeSabre frames are about 3" shorter from the cowl forward compared to the Wildcat and
Electra 225. So the LeSabre hoods are different from the larger series.
