WANTED 38 Transmission Mount cross bar with mount

I need Mount with Support frame 38 Special 40 Model 41 4 trunk back. In other words I have nothing but the transmission. Motor mounts all 4 are good.
 
Did you get the trans rear mount setup yet? I have a spare crossmember and the mount bracket that bolts to the transmission, from my 40 Buick Special parts car. The mount itself has devulcanized. My guess is that they would fit the 38, but I don't know for sure. I'm in New Brunswick, Canada, so shipping cost may be prohibitive. We've been waiting for the border to open so we can visit our daughter and family in Buffalo, NY, and could take it with us and ship from there or from a better point between here and there, if that would help, and if you can wait for the border to be open. Stephen
 
Sorry for late reply, I am going to try to use mount from 38 Pontiac. I just finished putting my trans back together. Im going to have Achilles Tendon surgery Sept 3 so no work on Buick for awhile. I would love to see a picture of what your cross support looks like. This would help me a lot.
I do pray you get to see your family soon.

Here are some pages from the 1938 Shop Manual that show the transmission support. Going by the shop manuals and parts books, the 1938 Series 40 parts were not used by any other models. The 1940 support was more like the 1938 Series 60-80-90 design.

So, from Todd's research (Thanks, Todd!) it sure looks like the 1940 parts are no good for your 1938, but I hope you have it sorted out. Also, I hope your surgery went well and that you can now skip like a lamb in the springtime.
