Valve covers

that's a good question.

i would think so, but i don't know for certain. the "only difference" between the two engines is that the 225ci has the 300ci / 340ci v8 bore size while the 231ci has the SBB 350ci diameter. things like the timing cover, i know can interchange. you can even pull one of those off of a Bu350 and use it.

the 1960s small block family engines used goofy valve cover stampings in order to simulate the look of the Nailhead valve covers. when Buick bought the v6 tooling back from AMC in the 1970s and started 231 production, they started using 'normal' style valve covers ... i doubt that they changed the top of the head casting.
