torque tube seal

Hello, Does anyone know if a transmission sealer(stop leak) will stop a leak in the torque tube? I have a 1957 Buick Century

If the transmission fluid leaks from the transmission down the inside of the tube it will drain into the differential and contaminate the lube in the differential. I do not have much faith with a chemical swelling up an old seal and forming a leak proof seal.

No. The only way to fix it is to fix it right, even more so with the dynaflow. I did my 41 two months ago and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, one just has to be methodical about it

Installing the seal the PROPER way is of the utmost importance. The spring on the seal should be pointing to the trans. otherwise it will continue to leak trans. oil into the diff.
In this case sealer will not work in this location. BUT the DynaFlow itself can be treated normally with a pint or two of Type 111 brake fluid to help swell the seals.
