Sunvisors

Hi guys, I have a 72 GS455 Convertible. I need to replace the sunvisor holder. How hard of a job is it. I already have the holders, but have never did this stuff on a convertible. Thanks guys

First thing I buy after taking ownership of a vehicle is attain workshop manual. It will tell you better than anybody how to do anything on your car. There is a reference section that you can browse on this site. They have pictures too, Wow!

Thank you for you reply, I did order and bought the 72 Buick Service Manuals and the 72 Fisher Body Manual. But I haven’t been able to find anything on these. Where can you buy the Workshop manual?

You must be talking about the clip that you park the visor in on the mirror end?

No I’m talking about the medal bracket that holds the visor on. It looks like I need to take interior trim off to replace it with a new one. It looks like at sometime JB weld may have been used on it.

All the sunvisor brackets I have seen use three screws to hold the swivel bracket into the windshield frame and one screw to clamp the visor into the bracket.
Maybe you should post some pictures?
brackets on Ebay, click here

Exactly, I’m trying to figure out how you get to the three screws. Do I have to remove the bottom and top trim. Or only the bottom trim? I putting a new swivel bracket on. I can‘t seem to locate them in my Service Manuel. I have the new swivel.

This is of a 1972 GS455 2 door HT, I would have expected it to be very similar to your car.
